Thank you Nextcloud. Just thank you. You had one job.

Where's the content of my document? Why did you wipe my whole document that I was just editing? And why did you keep ONE version of my month old document? And why is the one month old version also empty?

I'm never going to trust Nextcloud for storing any data any more. This is not the first time it have lost data for me.

(And yes. I always have backups for important data. This is just annoying and tedious.)

@hund That doesn't sound good. I had the plan to use NextCloud on my new NAS. One usecase is to store photos from our smartphones. Maybe syncthing is an alternative?

@hund I also thought about wether I should go for several smaller components instead of Nextcloud.
For example this for calendars: https://sabre.io/baikal/

@okraits I have looked at that before. Perhaps I should give it a chance. :)

@okraits @hund stick with NC, I've lost my data to Baikal when it irrepairably stopped working just because (no error in logs) and had to roll back two daily snapshots
never in years and many versions have I encountered any problems that wouldn't be solvable with NC
SyncThing is pretty usable and reliable, but also cumbersome and eats phone batteries
SeaFile I find not yet reliable (I had huge problems installing some versions)
