@ademalsasa

Yes I do, but if course, as always, and as it should be, success the dawn of time. I still like Sendmail too - old habits die hard eh?

Not into that fact schmancy stuff, so even on Skackware we've moved to Postfix and Dovecot which is good. Better than Exim, which I got into for a while in the early 2000's, but why back to either Sendmail or Postfix (which is really a dream!).

But I'm not just a Slacker, I'm also a Debiantard, and lazy, so here's what I do, forget all that moo cow mail stuff, even though it's really nice. Just keep it simple and powerful with one quick script...

### Here's my Debian based #MTA bundles:

https://github.com/LukeSmithxyz/emailwiz

### Here's my #MUA setups:

* Android: #FairEmail from devs git repo or F-Droid

* #Skackware: Thunderbird, #Pine, or Mutt, depending on my mood or mailbox.

* #Debian: #Thunderbird or Pine, depending

* #OpenBSD: #Mutt

### PubNIXes

* #SDF: Pine (yes, I know, I alias #Alpine lolz)

* tilde: Mutt

### Other stuffs

I've been using #OfflineIMAP for about 20 years for many if my accounts it makes syncing between MUAs a seamless dream - but it's showing its age and is Python 2 so...

I'll be moving here when I feel I can trust it:

https://github.com/OfflineIMAP/imapfw

I hope that helps!

@ademalsasa @lightweight Hmm, I don’t want FOSS Discord, because I don’t want to engage in a platform that is completely controlled by a private corporation which happens to have total access to all user data & conversations. Decentralized, federated platforms are pretty much my base-level expectation today, and preferably supporting (or even requiring) E2EE.

1

@ademalsasa Do you prefer any of these over others (for specific purposes?)?

I've used Kdenlive and Blender a tiny bit for super light editing, Natron's docs where nonexistant, didn't like Openshot iirc. Isn't Ubuntu Studio a distro and not a video editor? Or does it have one?

So there are two friends who use a combo of Blender + Kdenlive today, @jfml and @pichan. Thanks for sharing. I hope I could see some screenshots of your hard work.

@jfml I currently prefer OpenShot as my needs are just very simple. So is LibreAV not a video editor but a community of people. I mentioned them for people to research further and find your friends in multimedia.

0

0

@jfml at first, I also could not appreciate Cinelerra, but once one friend told me it is the best video editor of both free software and GNU/Linux worlds, I understood it. Also, it's the oldest of all video editors we had now under free licenses.

0

@ademalsasa @pichan I do really really only do "super light" video editing, mostly either rendering a video from a sequence of images or extracting a clip from a longer video ^__^
