@Longplay_Games I actually hated the installation process on Mac, so inconsistent, icons bustled all over the little installation window and just removing the app file from applications folder leaves a lot of balast elsewhere

I was just able to read a Dutch post that included two screenshots of Dutch text content, even though I don't speak Dutch. How?

- The poster had kindly included ALT text for the screenshots. ❤️

- Mastodon supports machine translation (your admin has to enable it). The feature translates ALT text along with the rest of the post.

This is just one small example of the many compounding effects of attention to #accessibility.

I love that the fediverse has a pulse.

I can notice when someone is online, goes on a posting binge, or when I've not seen them in a while.

Sometimes I even spot people delete or edit their posts right after they post them. I can see posts "making the rounds" until I get sick of seeing them.

I can see the patterns underneath -- the weekends, the seasons -- reflected in what people post about. Things speed up, or slow down.

When there's a pause, only the bots keep posting.
